The project for RUP club in 2021 is to save the sea. The students in this club joined a summer camp and designed environmental friendly masks. Here is the story:
Due to the pandemic, an increased amount of masks have been used. Many people are not responsible when it comes to disposing of their masks. Masks are left on grounds, which are then carried by the wind, or washed down by the rainwater. They will all eventually end up in the ocean. Incorrect disposal of face masks will be a safety hazard, as they can spread infections, and will also add on to the pre-existing plastics in the ocean.
