The UN SDGs Summer is a distinct hands-on summer experience orchestrated by a team of educational specialists from AEC, volunteer professors, and experts from SCCAEPA. Our program is designed to inspire and empower students to spark change in their communities with The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

Through fully immersive thematic camps, students will explore a wealth of knowledge, conduct in-depth research on scientific information articles, and discuss pressing environmental and global issues. This dynamic and comprehensive learning experience will equip participants with skills and tools to propose innovative solutions to real-world problems. And, to top it off, they will have the opportunity to present their summer achievements to an expert panel, showcasing their newfound skills and knowledge.

But that's not all! For those with a passion for public speaking and film production, students can also enroll in boot camps following the main themed camps. These dedicated sessions offer students the opportunity to participate in our inaugural AEC TED-Ed Student Talks event. Students can showcase their support and commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through captivating speeches and short films, sharing their passion with a global TED-Ed Student Talks audience.

Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and make a real difference. Join us this summer for the 2023 UN SDGs Summer Program, and let's work together towards a better, more sustainable world!

  1. SUMMER CAMPS

Employing a project-based learning (PBL) approach, the six thematic camps incorporate team-building activities, interactive online lectures and discussions, on-site visits, and final presentations to fulfill the summer camp's goals. An esteemed panel of scientists will evaluate the final project presentations in a spirited team competition, recognizing the most exceptional outcomes. Victorious teams will also be recommended to participate in the SCCAEPA conference.

3. TED-Ed Student Talks Showcase

As an officially authorized TED-Ed Student Talks organizer, AEC will inaugurate a first-of-its-kind in-person TED-Ed Student Talks showcase following the conclusion of our summer camp. This event invites students who participated in our thematic summer and boot camps to share their insights, reflections, and project achievements they acquired during their camp experience. Student will develop speeches and film productions that will encompass various themes related to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, showcasing their dedication and influence to public welfare initiatives. This is an incredible opportunity for young minds to display an unyielding commitment to sustainability on a global stage.
