Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorder (PAS)
The Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorder is a pregnancy condition that occurs when the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall, as well as staying attached to the neonate which can lead to severe blood loss and causing death. The NIBIB-funded researchers has discovered and developed a blood test that can help gravida (pregnant woman) identify this disorder earlier and potentially save lives.
